Milia

Milia also called sebaceous, epidermoid or keratin cysts are small, hard, whitish cysts most common around the nose, eyes or cheeks. They can appear singly or in clusters, grow slowly over time and are benign. Milia are sometimes mistaken for whiteheads. Treatment of milia is not necessary and they will, in time, go away on their own. Because they are cosmetically bothersome patients often prefer not to wait. The practitioners Chelsea Skin & Laser can extract milia with a careful touch in a simple in office procedure. Avoid trying to remove milia at home. Improper technique could lead to marks or scarring of the skin.
