Dr. Michael Eidelman is a board-certified dermatologist and Owner/Medical Director of Chelsea Skin & Laser specializing in the art of aesthetic dermatology. He is an internationally known master injector, lecturer, teacher and a well-respected member of the medical dermatology community. He is a graduate of Cornell University, received his Doctorate in Medicine from the prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed his training at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York and Cook County Medical Center in Chicago. His training is unique having done specialty externships at Valladolid Hospital in Spain, Soroka Medical Center in Israel, Hospital Garrahan in Argentina and the Papago Indian Reservation in Arizona.
His interest in dermatology began in medical school when he discovered a growth on his leg. He lectures regularly on skin cancer prevention and participates in skin cancer screenings as an advocate of early detection and treatment.
Dr. Eidelman has always been interested in the arts. For several years he studied ceramic making and became a partner and teacher in a pottery cooperative in Manhattan. His appreciation for the beauty of form, artistic eye and dexterity carried over into his use of facial fillers and injectables to sculpt the face to enhance appearance and disguise signs of aging in his patients.
Dr. Michael Eidelman’s work with the aesthetics of the face includes a wide variety of cosmetic treatments, facial fillers, Botulinum toxins (Botox and Dysport) and lasers. Recognized as an expert cosmetic injector he is a member of the doctor training programs for Botox, Dysport, the Juvéderm family of products, Kybella, Restylane, Voluma, Volbella, Vollure, Volux and Sculptra sharing the techniques he’s developed with doctors from across the globe. Distinguished among his peers, his findings, research, data and techniques using Botox and dermal fillers have been presented at the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS.net) and the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD.org) national meetings. They have also been published in Best Practices in Cosmetic Dermatology, The Journal for Drugs in America and the Cosmetic Surgery journal. He is one of the leading experts on cosmetic treatments for men and highly recognized for his natural looking results that compliment facial structure in both men and women.
Dr. Eidelman is a strong advocate for patient and physician education. In the rank of Assistant Professor of Dermatology he devotes his time as a voluntary attending at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai teaching residents and fellows of the dermatology department during their cosmetic clinic sessions.
